Southport is a beautiful setting for a summer wedding. Kelly and Matt decided to have their wedding at the Scarisbrick Hotel in Southport on Lord Street. The Scarisbrick is a classic hotel with a traditional interior. A beautiful choice of wedding venue but there are also plenty of opportunities for wedding photography in Southport itself, especially on a bright sunny day. Alicia Hotel Wedding Photography, Sefton Park, Liverpool

Here is a selection of my wedding photographs that I took at the wedding of Mike and Julie at the Alicia Hotel in Sefton Park Liverpool. Their wedding was set out beautifully and as the rain failed to showcase an appearance they decided to have their wedding outside. The Alicia Hotel has a beautiful setup for both indoor and outdoor weddings and the staff know how to look after the bride and groom. All the wedding guests enjoyed the outdoor ceremony and all the shots were captured very naturally. Take a look below at some of the photographs from the day below.

Bonfire Night Blackout in Liverpool, November 5th 2011

Bonfire night 2011. It’s only just turned the 5th of November and there has been a large power cut in the north of Liverpool. In the early hours there were power problems in the house. None of the lights in the house were working and all the streetlights outside were dimly lit as well. After about 20 minutes of worrying what was wrong, there was a complete power cut and the streets turned pitch black. There were reports that Scottish Power were fixing a similar problem in Croxteth on the 1st November and this could possibly be a knock on effect of the work that is being carried out there. I grabbed my camera and ran outside anyway to see what photographs I could snap. I really like the way the star constellation Orion was directly above the house too.

The sky was a little dull today but it stayed dry which is the main thing. A beautiful wedding day and I have to say the wedding ceremony was very nicely conducted. A warm and bright ceremony room made for some really great photographs of the wedding service. The day moved from St Martin’s Church in Kirkby to the evening reception at Maghull Town Hall. I’ve posted two photographs from the days events below.

I’ve visited Annalea 3 times over the course of the year. She has grown so much and the latest photography session proved to be the most enegetic yet. There was no sitting still on this shoot. I got some beautiful shots in the house and in the garden as well as some really beautiful photographs thanks to bubbles. See below for a couple of photo’s from todays shoot.
